The swappy software utility, shell scripts, and Ansible playbooks are open-source software licensed under the GNU General Public License v3.0 (GPL-3.0). You are permitted to run, modify, redistribute, and study the software under the conditions stated in the GPL-3.0 license.

The software and documentation are provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Modifying disk partitions, creating swap files, and manipulating virtual memory require administrative (root or sudo) privileges. While swappy follows standard Linux kernel practices, you are responsible for testing operations in non-production environments and verifying available disk space before allocating swap files.

In no event shall the authors, maintainers, or copyright holders be liable for any claim, damages, data loss, disk full conditions, or other liability arising from the use of or inability to use the software or the instructions provided on this site.
